ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDIES OF ŁÓDŹ

Łódzkie Studia Etnograficzne - a yearly magazine, issued since 1959

The magazine has been in circulation since 1959. Starting 2015 it is only available in a digital form, and can be accessed online: www.ptl.info.pl/lse/ ISSN 0076-0382.

The magazines comprise of single- or multuple-author publications - the latter are of monographic character, so that one subject is covered by authors representing different methodological positions, who differently assess and interpret contemporary reality. The specificity of the magazine is set by the framework of contemporary debates and interests of anthropologists and the combination of theory and practice. It should be emphasized that the basis of anthropology presented here are "field-studies" and the empirical research coming from individual studies. The title presents the university and museal environments, with emphasis on studies coming from Łódz.
