LUD (eng. THE PEOPLE) - a yearly magazine, body of the Society, issued since 1895
Lud (eng. “The People”) - body of the Polish Ethnological Society and Committee of Ethnological Sciences, the magazine was established by Antoni Kalina in 1895.
For years "The people" has been a known and respected magazine which has been published for more than a century, characteristic of rich tradition of reflecting the history of Polish ethnology and cultural anthropology. The activities of many generations of Polish ethnologists have left their mark on its pages, both in terms of ethnographic documentation of culture, as well as in theoretical and methodological fields. It is the only ethnological magazines in Poland which can boast such "genealogical depth" and one of very few similar in Europe. Since the founding of the magazine in 1895, it was closely associated with the Polish Ethnological Society, an institution whose role in the development of Polish ethnology is not to be underestimated. Since 1992, "The People" is also a body of the Committee of Ethnological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, which further strengthened the position of the magazine.
